The Kids

On Maddie's birthday we went to see Grandmama' and Grandpa in Galt. So I snapped a few photos.

Maddie's Three!

Here are some pics from the birthday girl's party. She got a little help from brother with a pesky candle that wouldn't blow out.

Alex & Jacob

Brothers.
These two handsome young men are friends of my son. They are full of smiles, jokes and fun as you can see.

What a family! Terrific kids with terrific parents.

Handsome Henry

I didn't think I'd get any of these posted tonight but I was excited. This is Henry. He is 11 weeks and handsome. The girls are already swooning.

Three going on 13

Can you make her stop growing? Please someone. Do you have the answer?
At moments I just want to run into a closet, scream at the top of my lungs in the primal scream of frustration until my head explodes. And then I remember she's two. She is only two.
There are moments when I just can't believe she is crawling, walking, running, talking, talking back...
I have to stop myself at times because for a moment she seems like a four or five-year-old. Must come from having a big brother and wanting to keep up with him. They are both so bright. (BEAMING MAMA MOMENT)
Always I want to hug on her and protect her and love her.
Maddie turns 3 in t-minus 2 days.
Heaven help me! I am not sure I will survive. She is already kicking my butt. (Susan - you are right. Girls and boys are TOTALLY different).
I took her out today to do her 3-year-old portraits. I guess there is something good about having a photographer for a mother. Not one sneeze or major event will not be documented.
I believe we went through all the emotions in an hour. Happy, frustration, sad and thankfulness when it was all over. :) (Happy was getting the lollipop).
I told my other half, "Look at these! (The photos of Maddie on the computer). Is it too late to lock her up?".
BOYS - here is fair warning. STAY AWAY!
Happy pre-birthday Madison Marie...

More holidays gift ideas

Christmas is around the corner. How do I know? This week I walked into our area big box store and what did my ears hear? Jingle Bells on the sound system. What! You must kidding. Didn't we just go candy hunting?
So I'll join in the parade.
Here are two personalized items that will give your Christmas an extra special and vintage feel. The snowflake ornament is $36. Order 2 and get the 3rd free. The compact mirror is $75.
Order your session before December 10th to ensure pre-Christmas delivery.
Now what did I do with my eggnog?

Not your ordinary key chains

I was recently asked by a friend about key chains. I thought I could make them, but I'd really better leave that to the professionals. SO I got online to find key chains that would express the newVintage style that I can personalize with photography and technology or lack there of. Here is what we have:

If you are interested, email me and we'll schedule a photo session. Two have the vintage look and can be monogrammed. The third is what every tech-savvy, gushing parent-grandparent-auntie-uncle-and-everyone-in-between wants. It holds up to 60 photos in a slide show fashion. Awesome!

Making front page

Well today in the Lodi News-Sentinel, the calendar made the front page. That ROCKS!

Golden

Fire Capt. Mike Gold was hit by a DUI driver in front of the fire station he works at in Lodi Saturday night. My heart goes out to him, his family and his work family. Gold co-ordinated the survivors calendar I shot. He's got a really big heart. My thoughts are with him. Get better guy!

Calendar Crew

Carving pumpkins

Yesterday the kids and I (mostly I) carved pumpkins. Maddie quite couldn't scoop the pumpkin guts out. Chase thought it was gross. So I scooped the seeds and scraped the insides. But he drew the faces and cut the faces with the child safe knife. It was fun.

Crafty Things

I have added a link to crafty ideas my friends find or I surf across. I am addicted to crafts. And the worse part about it is I buy the supplies, tuck them away for that rare day that I can do it. Well since December 2000, that day hasn't yet arrived! LOL. So maybe one of the upcoming rainy days, maybe, just maybe, I'll get one done. :)

Loving the Harvest season!

I love Halloween. I love the leaves changing colors. I love costumes. I love spooks. I look forward to Dia de los Muertos. Maddie's birthday is coming up. And then Thanksgiving! Yum!
