A simple afternoon

Sometimes you just need to play. My family and I hit the back yard. They swung on the swings. She tried to pedal her tricycle. And I pulled out the camera.

TERRIBLE 2's

WHAT A FACE! This is not a photo to frame and hang on the wall. But it is one of those that you will look back on and say, "I remember when..." I used to think that the terrible two's were a myth. My son had a small and muted case of the treacherous three's. But my daughter is a whole nether story. But look at her eyes. Even with the screaming and the sad eyes, she's beautiful. Of course not at that moment! But looking at the photo now, I can say, "I remember when..."

My Mother's Day

Mother's Day was great. I got breakfast in bed (scrambled eggs with hot dogs and hot sauce with tortillas), a beautiful mug and colorful platter. The mug said "Being queen is good. Being mom is great." I agree. The platter said, "Mom is a three lettered word for love". Also for patience... don't you agree? I also received one of those musical cards that my daughter has hidden after hours of playing it. We had family over and barbecued. It was a wonderful day and I realized just how lucky I am. Chase and Maddie - I love you with all my heart. Scott - thank you for making me your wife and mother of your children.

Sam I Am

Meet Sam. This blue-eyed is one handsome guy and has personality to boot. We had a blast shooting this session Thursday. He's sitting up, a rollin' and has two bottom teeth already.

The heat is on...

It's warming up in Lodi, and the only — and perhaps the cheapest way — to keep cool for now is in the sprinklers.

Cool Dude

He's at the age, where that little smirk is all he'll give you unless you are tickling him and he just has to laugh.

Big Trees Part II

This year we did go to Big Trees. And it poured. And poured. It eventually snowed as we were leaving. And my darling look so cute bundled up.

The Quiet Moments

Sometimes the quiet moments are just too precious.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day is around the corner. If you want to get those special ladies something that will last a lifetime, well there are diamonds. There are also portraits of the very reason she is a mother. Maybe you'd like to schedule a session with mom and her babies. Perhaps you'd like to present your own mother with a piece of art of you. Mom-to-be? Document this special time with a canvas piece. Contact me for more information.
These photos are of Mya and her mom, Dani, in Santa Cruz and Capitola.

Springtime

Springtime in the valley bring lots of mustard flowers — and allergies. Here the kids play in a field.

Big Trees

This past weekend, my family visited Big Trees State Park past Arnold, CA. Although rainy and wet, it was beautiful. It reminded me of a photo that I took of my son, Chase, four years earlier. It is one of may favorite photos of him. It reminds me why I am a photographer. It was a moment that will never be reproduced again in his life. He wandered off just a few feet. I raised the camera and he turned around to see his footprints in the snow. That is why I love what I do. I capture a single moment. But the memory of it will last a lifetime.

More love...

Isn't love grand...

Love is in the Air...

Weddings are fun. You never know what is going to happen. Someone is always late, the ringbearer usually becomes the focus at somepoint. But it is all about love and celebrating with family and friends. Here are a few pics.

Grape Festival 2006

Here is lil' Lexie at the local Grape Festival. She is FULL of energy and just as cute as can be. The moment I took this photo I knew it would be so her. She is bright and lively and just so much fun to be around.

newVintage Photography

newVintage Photography is opening soon in the Lodi, CA area. I specialize in children's photography but also shoot a variety of life events. I have over eight years of photojournalism experience. So capturing "the moment" is second nature to me.
The name of the biz exist for a couple or reasons. The photography is fresh with an aged vintage look. I also live in the Zin Capitol of the World. Lodi is the up and coming wine destination spot.
Here is a sampling of my work thus far. Enjoy.
