Carving pumpkins

Yesterday the kids and I (mostly I) carved pumpkins. Maddie quite couldn't scoop the pumpkin guts out. Chase thought it was gross. So I scooped the seeds and scraped the insides. But he drew the faces and cut the faces with the child safe knife. It was fun.

Crafty Things

I have added a link to crafty ideas my friends find or I surf across. I am addicted to crafts. And the worse part about it is I buy the supplies, tuck them away for that rare day that I can do it. Well since December 2000, that day hasn't yet arrived! LOL. So maybe one of the upcoming rainy days, maybe, just maybe, I'll get one done. :)

Loving the Harvest season!

I love Halloween. I love the leaves changing colors. I love costumes. I love spooks. I look forward to Dia de los Muertos. Maddie's birthday is coming up. And then Thanksgiving! Yum!

What a weekend

Yes it is Wednesday and I am still on the weekend. I had four different shoots this weekend three of which were on the same day. I just got to see the birthdays we attended and wanted to get the birthday kids in.

Sometimes your kids just amaze you. Sometimes they take your breathe away. When I pulled this picture from Chase's backpack the other day, I lost my breathe. It astonishes me how soon they grow up. And if we don't savour those moments we miss them. But this piece is going in a frame to remind me what a child's imagination can dream up.
